“Seasonal wonders of the sky” at the Novins planetarium in January

Discover the celestial makeup over New Jersey in winter as the Robert J. Novins Planetarium at Ocean County College presents “Wonders of the Seasonal Sky” on four dates in January.

“This ever-evolving program explores the season’s constellations, bright stars, visible planets, deep sky objects and celestial highlights,” OCC explains. “Constellation mythology and recent events are also included. Prepare to ask, and even answer, questions as our presenter creates an informal atmosphere for your current seasonal sky enjoyment.

This show, recommended for ages 12 and over, will take place at 7 p.m. on the following Saturdays: Jan. 8, Jan. 15, Jan. 22 and Jan. 29. Tickets go on sale Tuesday Jan. 4. Additional celestial shows, laser concerts and dome movies are also scheduled for January.

Current safety policies at the planetarium include masks for all people ages 2 and older, regardless of immunization status, for the duration of the visit and socially remote headquarters, with space between parties.
