National Space Center is broadcasting another free planetarium show tonight

Parents spent another week entertaining the children and homeschooling.

And although every day is still the same, it’s time to unwind for the bank holiday weekend.

If you’re running out of options or need a little more inspiration, this can help.

The National Space Center is hosting another family movie night after its first hit.

Like all attractions across the country, the UK’s largest planetarium is currently closed, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.

This time, the team is launching We Are Aliens for the first time outside of the Planetarium – and it’s completely free to watch.

We Are Aliens is another award-winning show from the NSC Creative team and allows families, adults and children to explore important questions.

We are aliens

Are there other civilizations? Will we one day be in contact with them? Or is it just us? In other words, are we alone?

And you might recognize the voice behind it all because it is none other than actor Rupert Grint, famous for his portrayal of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films.

The live broadcast will begin at 6 p.m. this evening, Friday, May 8, and will include a contest to watch for prizes.

The team also put together snack recipe suggestions and educational resources to support screening.

This week, families can learn how to whip up special MarsMallows to savor while watching the screening.

The recipe and method have been shared on the The Centre’s Facebook page here.

Tonight’s screening will last 25 minutes and is live on the National Space Center’s Facebook and Youtube channel.

But if you can’t participate tonight, it will be available at the same location for the next two weeks.
